White Sorghum (வெண்சோளம்) is a traditional cereal grain belonging to Sorghum bicolor. It is characterized by its light to white-coloured grain and is cultivated as a grain crop in India, including Tamil Nadu. Sorghum is used as a whole grain and can also be processed into flour for different food preparations. TNAU's sorghum resources document white and pearly-white grain types among cultivated sorghums.
