Herbal Bathing Powder, known as Kuliyal Podi or Nalangu Maavu, is a traditional South Indian body-cleansing powder made from a blend of finely ground pulses, herbs, roots, flowers and botanical ingredients. Similar Tamil herbal bathing-powder formulations commonly use green gram along with ingredients such as Kasturi Manjal, Poolankizhangu, Avarampoo, rose petals and vetiver.

The powder is mixed with water to form a smooth paste and applied over damp skin before gently rubbing and rinsing. Depending on the formulation, the blend has a naturally earthy and aromatic character from ingredients such as turmeric, flowers and vetiver. It is suited to traditional bathing routines and can also be prepared with water or other suitable liquid ingredients to achieve the desired paste consistency

Serving Suggestions:

1. Take the required quantity of bathing powder in a clean bowl.
2. Add sufficient water and mix into a smooth, spreadable paste.
3. Apply evenly over the damp body and skin.
4. Gently massage or rub the paste over the skin.
5. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
6. For a richer paste, some formulations can be mixed with rose water or milk according to the product's intended use.
